How Peherno Came to Life
Peherno wasn’t born out of a business plan it started from a feeling.
A love for clothes that carry stories. A need to hold on to the crafts we’re slowly forgetting. A belief that what we wear should feel like us - real, rooted, and effortless.
Growing up around Rajasthan's Art and textiles, I always found something magical in how a simple fabric could tell a story through its prints, its textures, its imperfections. Over time, that magic started fading under fast fashion and mass production. That’s when the idea of Peherno took shape to bring back that sense of connection between the maker, the fabric, and the person wearing it.

Peherno started as a thought that kept coming back to me . The kind that quietly stays until you decide to give it a life.
I’ve always been drawn to textiles, to the way fabric feels alive when it’s made by hand. Growing up in Rajasthan, I was surrounded by craft ,colors, and stories. Somewhere along the way, I realized I didn’t just want to admire that world; I wanted to build something that kept it alive in a new way.I studied Textile Design at NIFT Hyderabad, where I learned the language of fabric, color, and technique. Later, during my MBA in Fashion Management, I began to understand the balance between creativity and business and how an idea becomes something that can touch people.
That’s how Peherno came to life ,from my love for textiles and my desire to merge design with tradition. I wanted to take something deeply rooted, like block printing, and give it a modern expression. For me, this craft has always been more than decoration .it’s a story of patience, culture, and human touch.With Peherno, I wanted to create clothes that feel personal , pieces that carry the charm of handmade work but still fit effortlessly into today’s world. Something you can wear every day, yet still feel special in.
Every collection we make is a reflection of that thought -old techniques meeting new ideas, tradition blending with ease. Peherno is my way of keeping craft alive, not by preserving it as it was, but by letting it evolve beautifully into what it can be.
